Year 3 Class 10 Newsletter 9th February 2018

Date: 8th Feb 2018 @ 1:59pm

Dear Parents,

What a super week we've had in class 10.  The children have worked incredibly hard and should be congratulated for their achievements.

During English we wrote the first few parts of our play script based on Fantastic Mr Fox.  The children included all the features they needed to and we're looking forward to editing next week.  We're hopefully going to get a chance to perform a few of them for the rest of the class.

Money took centre stage this week for Maths and the children were faced with some challenging calculations including giving change.  If you get chance at home, please spend some time playing shop or allowing the children to price things up in the supermarket.

The children learned about the Sacrament of Reconciliation this week and produced beautiful guides to the service.  It's been good to talk about conscious and what it means to say sorry.  Next week we will complete an assessment piece based around the whole topic.

Thank you to the children who took time to sketch a fox based on the video I put online. We've had some excellent sketches brought in and the children are very proud to have their work displayed.  Keep an eye on our website for more exciting things to do.

We spent time on Tuesday learning about staying safe online and what to do if something goes wrong.  The children should have brought home a guide for parents on staying safe online this week. Please check bags for these as they have some very useful information in there.

We finish for half term on Thursday this week, so PE kits will be coming home.  Please can they be returned on the first day back after half term ready for PE that week.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mr Chris Waterworth

Thank you for reading the news letter and keeping up to date with Class 10. One world week has been moved to later in the school year, but we would still love to see his fox costume! In fact, we are going to be acting out parts from the play on Thursday, so that would be ideal.
