Class 9 Year 2 2017 - 2018

Miss Mayers

Welcome to Class 9's homepage.

Welcome back!

What a fantastic first week back we have had! It has been lovely to hear all their wondeful and special news from the Christmas holidays. They clearly enjoyed the break.

We have an extremely busy and exciting half term ahead of us. This half term we will be focussing on multiplication, division, statistics and shape in maths. In English we will be continuing to read Starship Sailor, The Dragon Machine by Helen Ward and Instructions by Neil Gaiman. We will also be completeing our One World Week at the end of the half term, with our focus country being Kenya.

In Science we wil be focussing on materials which will lead up to the children designing and creating their own lunch box. What an exciting couple of days that will be for the children.

Just a reminder, our P.E days will be on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon.

Homework will be given out on a Friday and is due to be handed in the following Wednesday. Weekly spellings will be put into children's Spelling Practise books every Friday and will be tested the following Friday. It is very important that these are practised regularly alongside the Year 1 and 2 common exception words. A copy of which can be found in the files section of this page.

Further details of our topics and objectives for this half term can be found in the attached Curriculum Map.

Many thanks for your continued support.
