Welcome to Class 6

Welcome to our new Class webpage!

After a challenging six months, we are so excited to be back at school!

We have all settled in well so far, so please find below some curriculum and class organisation information:

Our topic for this half term is Toys. In this exciting unit, we will be learning about how toys have changed over time. We will start this topic by looking at our favourite toys and what we play with today! We will also look at the toys our Parents use to play with and how they are different to the toys we play with today. We then will be looking at the toys our Grandparents use to play with and we will play some old playground games from years ago! We will do lots of comparisons and talk about how these toys have changed in lots of different ways over the years. A really exciting unit to start our time in Class 6!

We will be doing P.E. on Tuesday. PE kits will be sent home with your child at the end of each half term to enable them to be washed thoroughly and are to be returned on the first day of the new term. Plain navy-blue jogging bottoms will be needed once the weather turns cooler as all PE will be outdoors.

Homework will be given out on a Friday and collected in on the following Wednesday. At the front of the homework book you will find a grid with the date and title of the homework set for each week. Please only complete one page per week. We will shortly be sending you a password for Spelling Shed so your child can practise their spellings at home.

Reading books will be changed on a Monday and Thursday. We will use Class Dojo to communicate comments about reading. When you read with your child at home, please message us on Class Dojo to let us know and we will give your child a Dojo point.
