Behaviour at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Crewe

At St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, our approach to behaviour is firmly rooted in our Christian mission, with Christ at the centre of all that we do. We believe that positive behaviour enables children to grow academically, socially and spiritually, helping them to flourish within a caring, safe and respectful community.

We follow the Good to Be Green behaviour system, which is consistently applied across the school and clearly displayed to support children in understanding expectations.

Rewards and Positive Recognition

We place emphasis on recognising and celebrating positive behaviour. Rewards at St Mary’s include:

· Stickers and certificates

· Recognition of positive choices and consistent good behaviour

We ensure parents and carers are kept informed of their child’s positive behaviour through face-to-face conversations and ClassDojo messages, strengthening communication between home and school.

ClassDojo

We use ClassDojo to support and promote positive behaviour throughout the day. Children earn Dojo points for following school rules, demonstrating our core values and showing positive attitudes to learning. This helps children understand expectations, build self-confidence and take pride in their achievements.
