Local Support Networks:
At St Mary’s we work alongside lots of agencies and groups who offer support to children and families. Some of this support takes place in school and some in the local community. If any of these agencies are of interest you can get in touch with them directly or come into school and we can help you to make a referral. The agencies logo should direct you to their own website:-

NSPCC
Talking PANTS teaches children important messages, like their body belongs to them and they should tell an adult if they’re upset or worried.

Counselling service for children and young people up to their 19th birthday in the United Kingdom provided by the NSPCC
Operation Encompass
Police and education early information sharing partnership enabling schools to offer immediate support for children and young people experiencing domestic abuse
CEOP

EACH

CEC Domestic Abuse Hub
A single point of contact, information, consultation, referral, triage and case allocation for families affected by domestic abuse and those who support them – formally or informally.

Sal’s Shoes
Referrals can be made by school for free pre-loved school shoes and trainers, please contact Mrs Murray
Motherwell
Motherwell can provide free pre-loved school uniform and other items, they also offer a Baby Bank. Families can contact Motherwell directly or contact Mrs Murray
The Bread and Butter Thing
The Bread and Butter Thing offers weekly groceries at a fraction of high street prices, at the Underwood West Hub. For £8.50 they offer roughly £35 worth of food each week.
